Questions, answered

And if yours isn't here, just ask — I'd rather over-explain than have you wondering.

How many pets do you take at once?

A small group, always. I match dogs by energy and temperament before a day is confirmed, and I’ll tell you honestly if a particular day isn’t a good fit for your pet.

Can you give medication?

Yes — this is one of my strengths. Years of fostering sick cats means pills, drops, injections and strict schedules are routine here, including kidney-care and end-of-life comfort care.

My dog is reactive or shy. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Rescue experience taught us to read body language early and give space before things escalate. I pick quieter routes, keep introductions slow, and never force interaction.

Do you crate?

No crates unless you specifically ask for them because that’s what your dog is used to. Otherwise the floor, couches and beds are all fair game.

What does the meet & greet involve?

A free, no-pressure visit before the first booking. You see the space, your pet sees the space, Kat ignores everyone, and we go through routines, food and vet details.

Will I get updates?

Constantly, without you having to ask. Photos and short notes through the day — it’s the thing owners mention most in reviews.

What about your cat?

Kat has vertical space, shelves and cat trees of her own and genuinely doesn’t care about visitors. The floor and couches stay free for your pet.

How do bookings and payments work?

Either way works. Booking directly with me is the simplest — we agree the dates, and you pay by e-transfer or cash at drop-off. If you’d rather use Rover for the booking protection and vet line, my profile is live and I’m happy to take it there instead.

What should I tell you about my pet?

Everything. Food allergies, medications, specific routines, fears, favourite games, words they know. I’d rather over-prepare.

Do you handle cats only visits?

Yes — drop-in visits in your home are usually the calmest option for cats. Feeding, litter, meds, water, playtime and a photo report each visit.
